There is no perfect platform. Don't make perfection the enemy of progress. You can spend weeks trying to find the perfect newsletter publishing tool, or tech, or software or service....and these are weeks that you'll regret not having started.....later. Our favorite platform for Therapists/Mental Health professionals is Flodesk - it's inexpensive, has beautiful brand and email design tools that are easy to use - and is small enough to get super personalized customer service. Mailchimp is obviously very popular, and can be a great choice for folks with a bit bigger of a budget. (maybe a multi- person practice) Substack is great for platform publishing and has some cool tools for content discovery and community. Ghost is a great platform for turning your blog into a brand, your brand into a business and your newsletter into a premium, paid publication.Who are you? What do you do? Who do you do it for? What do they need? And how do their lives change, when you do what you do best for them? Ask these questions of your newsletter (and yourself) before you begin. Think of your newsletter as an instrument of education, inspiration and transformation for your ideal audience/quintessential client. Don't make it general. Make it specific - and as "niche" (a cliche, I know - but 100% true) as you can. How often do you want to send? (it's important to get clear about this from jump - and when in doubt, its' much better to start with a clear, consistent schedule that you know you can accomplish, rather than an ambitious publishing schedule that may be harder to consistently crank out.
